Visuospatial and Visuoconstructional functioning with clients diagnosed with Lead Investigator: Matthew Vogler Institution : Illinois School of Professional Psychology E-Mail : mjvogler9@gmail.com Proposal ID : 831 Proposal Description: 1)The goals of the research are both exploratory and experimental in nature. I would like to compare the Benson scores, Neuroimaging scans, and diagnoses of Neurocognitive Disorder or Dementia. I will be comparing national norms of the RCFT to the outcomes produced by the Benson. I hope to elaborate on the scoring criteria and how this directly impacts memory variables unique to the client. 2)I would like to test two hypotheses: -The Benson/RCFT does not accurately measure visuospatial memory functioning in clients diagnosed with Neurocognitive Disorder or Dementia with memory difficulties -The Benson/RCFT does not accurately measure visuospatial and visuoconstructional functioning in clients diagnosed with Neurocognitive Disorder or Dementia using Neuroimaging scans. I would like to explore other tests like the MoCA and Trails to see if there are any correlations with scores and diagnosis. I would also like to explore the severity (Mild, Moderate, and Severe) of Neurocognitive Disorder with that of the scores on the Benson and Neuroimaging scans.
